ChalkFest Hits Mateo

- The finished Chalk Fest drawings.
Friday April 30th was Chalk Fest, and the talented people who participated spent all Friday morning chalking up the area outside the ampi-theater near the C-Building. The drawings people made with the chalk were all album covers of popular music. Among them were Owl City, Pink Floyd, Death Cab For Cutie, Jimi Hendrix, Madonna, and All Time Low. Around 3 people would work on each album cover, making an almost perfect recreation of their favorite album design. It was certainly messy work, I saw several people with chalk smeared on their hands and faces. Even though the drawings will be washed away, everyone appreciated the hard work that the artists put in.
